Peninsula Loop Cruise 2025 was a mixed bag with rain and a major breakdown, but VW people know how to make lemonade from lemons! Here are the cruisers who made it to Rocky Brook Falls toward the end of our cruise.

2024 Peninsula Loop Cruisers at the Tree of Life!
Our Peninsula Loop Cruise started on Ediz Hook Saturday, May 18th.  We left the Hook at 10:00 and headed to Forks.  We had 19 people in 12 VWs.  Lunch was on one's own.  But most of us bought something at the Thriftway store.  They have a good selection of sandwiches, salads, and deli items.
Our next stop was Kalaloch Campground to visit the Tree of Life.  After taking pictures, we had a couple sprinkles of rain.  This was the only time we had rain while sightseeing.  Otherwise it only sprinkled while we were on the road.  From Kalaloch, we cruised to Pacific Beach and Copalis.  Everyone had time to check in to their respective lodgings, then we met at Griffith-Priday State Park for a potluck at 5:30.  The weather was really nice.  The sun came out and there was hardly any wind.  This was a first!  Some even sat at tables out in the sun!  The food was delicious - hot dogs, salads, crudities, and lots of cookies!
Sunday morning, we met at the 76 gas station just outside Ocean Shores.  We cruised through Aberdeen.  The secret to getting through Aberdeen with a line of VWs is to stay in the left lane all the way through!  This will get you onto Hwy 12.  We stopped at the rest stop just outside Elma.  After getting onto Hwy 101 North, our next stop was Hoodsport for lunch at the Tides Restaurant.
After lunch, we cruised up to Rocky Brook Falls at Dosewallips.  Beautiful trail to a most spectacular waterfall.  We then cruised to Port Townsend where we ended the cruise at the Park & Ride.
