Quilcene Fair and Car Show

This is a change from our yearly calendar. The date has been changed to Saturday, September 21st.
The Quilcene Fair includes a parade, street fair, and car & motorcycle show. Attendance at these events is free. However, registration to show your car is $10.00. The parade starts at 11:00 am. The street fair has many neat booths selling all sorts of things. Lots of good Christmas gift ideas!
Seven VWs from our club participated in the parade last year and had fun. We would love to have more members join us. We will meet at Discovery Bay at 9:00am. Then cruise down to Quilcene (only 11 miles south). Mileage from Port Angeles to Discovery Bay is 36 miles and takes about 50 minutes.
The car show runs 9am-4pm and is located on the ball field behind the Quilcene School. Check-in time for the car show and parade is 9am. For more information go to: www.quilcenefair.org. If you don’t want to be in the car show, that’s OK. You can still be in the parade. We will gather just outside the entrance to the car show and arrange where to line up for the parade.

Salt Creek Cruise and Picnic

This is a club cruise to Salt Creek County Park. It’s one of our most favorite cruises! Family and friends are encouraged to come too! We will meet at the park ‘n ride lot at Laird’s Corner, just before the turn-off to Hwy 112, at 11:00 am and leave the park ‘n ride lot at 11:15 sharp.
We have reserved the shelter. We will be assured of a nice place to picnic and be protected from the elements, just in case the elements decide to attend too!
Bring a favorite dish (salad, dessert, etc.) Prime Rib and the fixings for French Dip sandwiches will be provided. Paper plates, plastic utensils, and bottled water will also be provided. If you have a favorite drink other than water, please bring it.
