Paul Meyer 1931-2023
He was our one and only "Lifetime Member". He introduced us to the "Diamond Point 4th of July Parade", followed by a potluck lunch at his house. So fun! He also told us about the time he was sightseeing at a lookout on the Columbia. His VW would not start. So he opened both doors and let the wind (which howls through the area) push his car while he jumped inside and started it. He let the wind do the work! So funny! We presented him with a "Lifetime Member" plaque. (His picture is on the front page of our Website.) He was thrilled to be honored in this way. He had just moved into a retirement home in Sequim. The first thing he said was "Just wait until the girls see this!" He was a wonderful and funny man! And will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace, Paul! |

Ade Weedman 1948-2011
Ade was a charter member of the Strait Air Volksgruppe. He participated in almost all the cruises and special events of our group. He was famous for his Prime Rib French Dip Sandwiches which he brought to most of our events. Ade was passionate about his VW. He loved it and loved to show it off.
We will miss you Ade! |
