This was our second "Reindeer Run". We all met at the Wal-Mart parking lot to put on our antlers and red noses. There was a perfect number of eight "reindeer." Rudolph had to stay home due to illness (bad valves). Santa's sleigh was a '57 commercial bus loaded down with gifts. As we paraded through Port Angeles toward Ediz Hook, we had lots of people wave and laugh. They would see the first car and think it was cute. Then the second car and start wondering. Then all of a sudden "get" the joke and start waving and laughing. The Saturday's Market was going on, so there were lots of people on the sidewalks who enjoyed seeing Santa and his "reindeer".
After getting pictures at Ediz Hook, we drove to the Laurel Park Assisted Living Home and spent time with the residents and showed off our herd. We also gave gifts filled with candy to all residents.
We then drove to Sequim and cruised through town. We ended our cruise at the Old Mill Cafe for lunch. This has become a wonderful tradition for a winter cruise!
