It’s Friday, July 4, 2014! Nine VWs started out at Paul’s home in Diamond Point. We decorated our cars with tinsel, flags, bunting, and sparkly decorations. We looked so festive. Then we headed down to the starting point near the lagoon.
We gathered at the starting point of the parade.
Here are some pictures taken along the parade route. The residents of Diamond Point love their parade! They welcome you with cheers, claps, cookies, candy, and lots of goodwill! It makes for a very fun day!
After the parade, we gathered back at Paul’s home for pizza, mimosas, beer, pop, and lots of desserts! That’s what’s so special about “potlucks” – you never know what will be brought! Today, it was lots of desserts! We had a great time with lots of conversation and sharing! A big “thank you” to everyone who came! And huge and special “thank you” to Paul for hosting this wonderful gathering.
