The cruise was in dedication of Rita which started at Ediz Hook at the parking area opposite the boat ramp on Sunday, September 7th. We left the parking area at 12:30 pm. The cruise took us around the Elwha and ended up at the Tribal Center where we shared memories of Rita. A few of those who bought tickets joined us on this great cruise, it turned out to be a beautiful day! The cruise was open to everyone.
Rita Charles, the lady who cooked our salmon last year, passed away Saturday, August 30th. We do not have anyone to cook our salmon in the authentic way. We will happily refund the cost of tickets to those people who have bought tickets. If you come on the cruise, bring your tickets and we will refund your money. You can also bring the tickets to the next membership meeting for a refund. It was suggested by several members to donate money raised by selling tickets to a charity mentioned in Rita's obituary. We thought this was a good idea. Please let us know if you bought a ticket(s) and would like this amount donated instead of refunded to you.
