The Canal Cruise to Hoodsport was probably our longest, in terms of time, cruise ever! The weather was beyond gorgeous and warm, but it was a little smoky, especially when we finally reached the top of Mt. Walker. We all met up at the usual places and cruised to Hoodsport through Quilcene. It turned out to be a Bug-only cruise! We stopped at Rocky Brook Falls for a super short hike along the creek to the Falls and it was all so picturesque. We visited the Hoodsport Winery, where we purchased some wine and found a bunch of handmade greeting cards with VW's them. Francie bought them all of course! Then lunch at The Tides where the food and service were excellent! Last stop was a dusty climb up Mt. Walker only to be rewarded with a very limited view due to all the smoke. Our club mascot, Daisy, made sure everybody stayed in line and paid proper attention to her. Then home, where we barely made it before the sun went down.

Our club mascot, Daisy, inspects the trail for danger ahead!
The creek at the bottom of the Falls was beautiful!
Rocky Brook Falls.
A couple of air-cooled's deeply pondering this whole "water" thing.
This would have been a great spot for Nate to propose to Carmen, but they're already married. Maybe next time.
The whole gang stood still long enough for me to snap a picture! From left, Carmen, Nate, Vern, Jan, Daisy, Francie, Dave and Rodney. Annie is behind the camera.
It's a rainbow of Beetles!
Lunch at The Tides. Our server was spectacular!
The top of Old Smoky.....I mean Mt. Walker. Normally you can see forever. But not today.
