We started our cruise at the Fairmount Restaurant on Hwy 101 just outside Port Angeles on Saturday, June 10th. There were ten members and two guests. Theresa's daughter and son-in-law joined us. We had seven VWs. The weather was not bad. Cloudy with just a few sprinkles now and then.
After leaving the restaurant, we cruised to the Elwha bridge where we stopped to take pictures, then drove to the end of the bridge where we parked and walked to the observation deck under the bridge. Nice views of the river.
We then cruised to Salt Water Recreational Area and drove through the bunkers. From there we drove to East Beach on Lake Crescent. There were lots of cars. We have never had other cars there. It was almost full. But we can squeeze VWs in anywhere and we all fit.
Our last stop was at the Black Diamond Community Hall where we all said our good-byes. It was a pleasant cruise and so nice to see everyone!"
