The weather started out a little cloudy, but warm, for the start of our Hungry Bear cruise, but as the afternoon wore on, the sun came out for a beautiful day traveling along Lake Crescent and the Strait. After meeting in the Port Angeles Wal-Mart parking lot, we cruised to Granny's Cafe for breakfast. Originally, our destination was going to be the Hungry Bear for lunch, but we were told that due to the opening of fishing season, they would probably be too busy to accommodate us......which, sounds, well, kinda fishy. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and food at Granny's, complete with a witty awesome waiter that made the meal even more fun. With full bellies, we cruised along Lake Crescent, and right around 12;30 pm, the height of lunch hour, we passed the Hungry Bear. Only two cars in the parking lot. We laid on our horns to perhaps let them know they missed out on about $200 worth of business that day. On to Sappho, where we turned around to loop back to Pillar Point, Crescent Beach, then finally to Joyce, where we all split off to go home. It's one of the most beautiful cruises we take all year. Awesome cars, awesome people, awesome scenery........how can you go wrong?
