Our Granny's Loop Spring Cruise on Mother's Day, May 13th, took us to Granny's Cafe for lunch. We had 16 members and family members join us with twelve VWs. The weather was sunny and warm. We started the cruise at Walmart in Port Angeles. Our first stop was Granny's Cafe which was was very hospitable and lunch was wonderful, as usual. After lunch, we cruised along Hwy 101 passed Lake Crescent. There were two one-lane sections which were controlled by lights. The wait was not long at all at each stop. The road had some rough spots, which took a toll on Francie's headlight rim! It was barely hanging on when we got to Pillar Point.
From Hwy 101, we turned onto Hwy 13 and headed north to Hwy 112. We stopped at Pillar Point where we gathered river rock to use for our trophies for our car show. I hope that's not illegal. If it is illegal, then we did not gather river rock.
Then we headed home. It was so nice to see everyone. Especially Bill's lime-green '75 Super which got back on the road after a year-and-a-half of tender-loving care! So nice!
